Bolingbrook Police Participate in National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

Residents are invited to dispose of old prescription drugs during an event that runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 26 at the Bolingbrook Police Department.

The Bolingbrook Police Department's "Take-Back Initiative" on Oct. 26 is the place residents can safely dispose of old prescription drugs. And it's also the place where friends and neighbors can learn about the potential for abuse of medication, according to a Suburban Life Media report.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 26 at the Bolingbrook Police Department, 375 W. Briarcliff Road.

Local officers will be on hand to inform residents about the dangers and potential of prescription medication abuse, according the the Suburban Life Media report.

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is a partnership between the DEA and state and local law enforcement aimed at providing a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, according to the report.
