Police: Teen Boys Attack, Steal, Send Victim to the Hospital

A group of 8 to 10 teenagers attacked a 14-year and a 16-year-old Sept. 22, sending one to the hospital.

One teenager was sent to the hospital after a group of eight to 10 male teenagers attacked both a 14-year-old from Bolingbrook and a 16-year-old from Cicero Sept. 22. 

The incident took place at 7:55 p.m. at Blair Lane and Mayfield Drive, according to Bolingbrook police. 

After the group attacked, the 16-year-old was able to escape after being punched in the head twice. The 14-year-old from Bolingbrook was knocked to the ground and repeatedly kicked and punched. While he was on the ground, the group rummaged through his pockets and stole his phone. They also stole his backpack, which contained various items.

The group then fled on foot. 

The victim was transported to the Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.  He was treated and released.

The incident remains under investigation.
