Bolingbrook Police: Teen Charged with Telephone Threat, Breaking Car Window

Residential burglary, battery and car damage in the Bolingbrook police blotter of Oct. 19.

Oct. 19 

Residential burglary 

Officers were called to the 400 block of Bradford Place, for the report of a residential burglary, police said. A jewelry box, heart-shaped necklace and cash was stolen between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Telephone threat, criminal damage 

A 17-year-old was arrested at 4:49 p.m. and charged with telephone threat and criminal damage to vehicle after breaking a vehicle window on the 400 block of Columbine Drive, police said.

Battery  

William Platek, 55, 227 N. Canyon Dr., was arrested at 4:12 p.m. and charged with battery after an altercation at Jewel/Osco, 1200 W. Boughton Rd., police said. 

Criminal damage to car 

Juan Criollo, 32, 16027 Tahoe Ln., Crest Hill and Charles Simmons, 20, 9216 S. Greenwood Ave., Chicago, were both arrested at 8:08 p.m. and charged with criminal damage to vehicle on the 1000 block of S. Weber Road, police said. 

Theft 

Officers were called to the 300 block of Remington Boulevard for the report of a theft, police said. Cash was removed for a secured box between Oct. 18 and 19. 

Warrant 

Joshua Schenk, 18, 20 Elm Ct., was arrested at 12:17 a.m. and charged with a Will County warrant on the 500 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive, police said. 

Driving under the influence 

Toby Crookham, 35, 229 Bowie Ct., was arrested at 1:01 a.m. and charged with DUI and driving without lights following a traffic stop at Boughton Road and Delaware Drive, police said. 

In-state warrant 

Elias Gil, 18, 140 Jamestown Dr. was arrested at 1:30 p.m. and charged with an in-state warrant on the 300 block of W. Briarcliff Road, police said. 

In-state warrant 

Daniel Velez, 23, 190 Seabury Rd. was arrested at 1:02 a.m. and charged with an in-state warrant following traffic stop at Briarcliff Road and Olympic Drive, police said. 

In-state warrant 

Daniel Martinez, 23, 417 Greentree, was arrested at 9:56 a.m. and charged with an in-state warrant, failure to signal, improper use of registration, no insurance and driving on a suspended license following a traffic stop on the 200 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive, police said.
