Police: Eight Thefts from Unlocked Cars in Two Weeks

Cash, GPS, laptop, iPods and more stolen from unlocked cars in Bolingbrook from July 13 to 26.

July 26 

Theft from unlocked car 

A cell phone charger, sunglasses and cash totalling more than $60 were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 200 block of South Palmer Drive after 7:00 p.m.,  said.

GPS, laser measuring device stolen from unlocked car

Two GPS’s and a laser measuring device, items valued more than $250, were stolen sometime after 9 p.m. from an unlocked car on the 200 block of South Palmer Drive, police said.

July 24 

iPad, laptop computer stolen from car 

An iPad and a laptop computer, items valued more than $1,800, were stolen sometime after 4 p.m. from an unlocked car parked on the 600 block of West Boughton Road, police said.

July 20 

Cell phone, iPod stolen from unlocked car 

A cell phone and an IPod valued more than $180 were taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 400 block of Cardinal Lane sometime after midnight, police said. 

July 19 

$200 loss from car  

Speakers, amplifier and stereo were stolen from an unlocked car on the 400 block of West Crossroads between July 19 and 20, police said.  The loss was valued at $200. 

July 14 

Wallet stolen from unlocked car 

A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on the 200 block of Riverside Drive, police said. 

July 13 

Gym bag, DVD stolen from unlocked car 

A gym bag and DVD were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 200 block of Northridge Avenue sometime overnight, police said. 

Wallet, credit cards stolen from unlocked car

A wallet and credit cards were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 200 block Hadleigh Road between July 12 and 13, police said.
