Police: Windows Shattered Around Town

Between Sept. 13 and Sept. 20, five incidents were reported in which a home or car window was shattered.

Bolingbrook windows -- both car and home -- took a beating between Sept. 13 and 20, according to Bolingbrook police. 

During that week, five incidents were reported in which a home or car window was damaged. In one instance, someone used a brick to break a car window and took cash, prescription pills, a purse and a digital camera.

Sept. 20 

Glass window of business broken, no entry

Police responded to a business in the 200 block of S. Schmidt Road at 12:25 a.m. for what was reported as an active alarm. Officers discovered a glass window of a business was shattered, but it did not appear anyone had entered the business. 

Sept. 17 

Car, home window damaged 

A residence window and a car window were both damaged between Sept. 16 and 17 in the 100 block of Maplewood Drive, police said. 

Sept. 15

Bedroom window broken with lawn ornament 

Someone broke a bedroom window with a lawn ornament on the 200 block of Harwood Drive at 8:15 p.m., police said. 

Sept. 14

Brick thrown through car window, car theft 

A brick was thrown through a car window in the 500 block of N. Pinecrest Road between 1:30 a.m. and 2:40 a.m., police said. Also during that time, a purse, cash, prescription pills and a digital camera were stolen from the car. The loss was valued at $1,080. 

Sept. 13 

Rock thrown at a business door, no entry

A rock was thrown at the glass door to a business on the 200 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive between 9 p.m. and 1:12 a.m., police said. No entry was made into the store.
