Bolingbrook Teen Charged After Sneaking Through Girl's Bedroom Window: Cops

A 17-year-old girl was also charged with battering an officer in the incident.

A Bolingbrook 18-year-old is accused of residential burglary, cannabis possession and contributing to the delinquency of a minor in connection with a March 27 incident, police said.

Elton Dorsey, 18, of the 1000 block of Crestwood, was arrested after police responded to a home in the 500 block of Blackhawk after a neighbor reported seeing a male subject crawl through a window of the home at around 11:30 a.m.

Lt. Mike Rompa said when officers arrived, they were greeted by the homeowner, who said there were only two females in the home.

Rompa said the homeowner asked the officers to check the house, where they found Dorsey in the room with the homeowner's 17-year-old daughter.

According to Rompa, Dorsey is not allowed to be on the property, and has previously been involved in drug activity from the home. Will County court records show that Dorsey was found guilty of cannabis possession in February.

Rompa said further investigation showed that Dorsey had several plastic baggies of suspected cannabis. He was taken into custody and charged with residential burglary, possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, criminal trespass and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, police said.

While Dorsey was being taken into custody, the 17-year-old girl allegedly became verbally abusive with police and refused to comply with an officer's verbal commands, Rompa said. The girl then began to strike an officer, according to police.

She was also taken into custody and transported to River Valley Youth Detention Facility, Rompa said. The girl is charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer and resisting arrest.
