Bolingbrook Woman Found Dead in Burning Home May Have Fallen Asleep Smoking
A 52-year-old Bolingbrook woman was found dead in her burning home Friday afternoon.
A Bolingbrook woman who was found dead in her burning home may have fallen asleep smoking, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Mary M. Mullen, 52, of the 100 block of Kingston Road, was pronounced dead at the scene. Bolingbrook firefighters responded to the fire around 12:30 p.m. Friday.
The fire had apparently started in a couch. Mullen was found lying on the floor, the Tribune reported.

No one else was reported to be home at the time of the fire. A dog was found hiding underneath a car and was taken care of by Bolingbrook's animal control, the Tribune reported.
Mullen was not burned and "apparently suffered smoke inhalation," the Tribune reported.

Mullen's autopsy was scheduled for Sunday.
