FBI Captures Former Bolingbrook Man Wanted on Child Porn Charges

According to reports, FBI agents have arrested Ruben Sanchez, who is suspected of possession and distribution of child pornography.

The FBI has reportedly caught a former Bolingbrook man who has been wanted for more than two years in connection with child pornography charges.

Agents found Ruben Sanchez, 38, formerly of the 100 block of South Pinecrest Road in Bolingbrook, hiding in a Chicago apartment in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood, according to a CBS report.

The FBI's Chicago office offered Friday , who authorities say is wanted in connection with possession and distribution of child pornography.

Special agents assigned to the FBI’s Innocent Images Task Force have targeted Sanchez since February 2009, when he was charged in federal court with one felony count of possession of child pornography.

A laptop computer and 29 CDs allegedly belonging to Sanchez were found in a Bolingbrook home in 2008, according to FBI Special Agent Ross Rice. Investigators said the laptop and CDs contained images of children engaged in explicit sexual activity and lewd photos of children.

FBI investigators say forensic evidence links Sanchez to the computer and CDs and Sanchez had forwarded the pornographic images to others, resulting in the distribution charge, also a felony.

If convicted of the charges, Sanchez faces up to 30 years in prison.
