Shut Down Harold's Building Catches Fire

Cleaning crews accidentally set fire to now-vacant building.

Cleaning crews washing out one of the coolers of the now-closed  accidentally set the building on fire Friday afternoon, fire officials say.

Deputy Chief Trinedad Garza said crews were attempting to restore power to the building when a shortage caused the restaurant's soffit to catch fire.

Garza said firefighters were able to extinguish the fire shortly upon arrival. No injuries were reported.

Harold's, which was located near the intersection of Boughton Road and Bolingbrook Drive, closed earlier this week.

Garza said the fire caused minimal damage to the building.
