Dog Escapes House Fire in Bolingbrook

A small blaze caused about $40,000 in damage, according to the fire department.

A home in the 1100 block of Lily Field Lane was damaged in a fire Friday morning, but the family pet escaped unscathed.

Battalion Chief Dan Ross said a small fire in a second-floor laundry room caused about $40,000 damage to the home. The blaze was called in at 11:06 a.m., Ross said.

A dog was found unharmed in the home, according to Ross.
