Firefighers Tackle Blaze in Apartment Vestibule in Bolingbrook
Bolingbrook Fire Department Battalion Chief Ron Banda said there were no injuries and no one had to be evacuated.
A fire at a Bolingbrook apartment complex on Friday morning caused about $2,000 in damage, according to Bolingbrook Fire Department officials.
Ron Banda, battalion chief, said a call came in at about 7:45 a.m. in regards to a fire at the Lincoln at River Run complex, 380 Whitewater Drive. Officials had the blaze under control by 8 a.m.
“It was just a small fire in the vestibule of the apartment complex,” he said. “We believe it to be possibly electrical in nature, but it’s still under investigation.”

Banda said there were no injuries and no one had to be evacuated.
“Most of the (tenants) were out already,” he said.

Only one unit in the complex sustained damage.
“The drywall was affected and it had to be repaired,” Banda said.
