2. Out with the old

Bring your expired prescription drugs to the  for disposal Saturday. The department is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration for the fourth National Prescription Take-Back Initiative. Community members can drop off old prescription medications between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Police Department main lobby, 375 W. Briarcliff Road.

3. Ready for spaghetti

The Bolingbrook Lions Club's 14th annual spaghetti dinner will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the , 241 Canterbury Lane, . The dinner, which raises money for the DuPage Township Food Pantry, includes salad, spaghetti, bread and butter, and coffee. Suggested donations are $6 for adults, and $5 for seniors and children 12 and younger. Meatballs and Italian sausage will be available at an additional cost of $1 per serving. Tickets for Friday's dinner can be purchased at the door or by calling Lion Joe Morelli, chair of the event, at (630) 759-4497.

4. Find a furry friend

Romeoville Humane Society is holding their monthly adoption event from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, at Pet Supplies Plus, 270 N. Bolingbrook Drive, Bolingbrook. Dogs, cats, puppies and kittens will up for adoption. There will also be a few adoptable dogs the day of this event. For more information, visit www.romeo­villehumane­society.­org.

5. Walk the walk
