Man Charged with Bolingbrook Hit and Run

Aurora resident accused of causing crash, fleeing.

A 20-year-old Aurora man faces several charges after an alleged hit-and-run crash Monday afternoon in Bolingbrook.

Michael Ofosuhene, of the 3100 block of Quincy Lane, was arrested shortly after the crash and taken to the Will County jail on charges of leaving the scene of an accident, failing to give info/render aid, driving on a suspended license, failure to give notice of accident and disregarding a traffic-control device, according to jail records.

Lt. Mike Rompa said Bolingbrook police responded to the intersection of Boughton Road and Delaware for a crash at 2:39 p.m. Monday.

The victim was allegedly heading west on Boughton when Ofosuhene's vehicle suddenly turned left in front of the victim's vehicle before fleeing the scene.

A passer-by checked on the victim, then located Ofosuhene's vehicle several blocks away, police said.

Ofosuhene is due in Will County court Tuesday afternoon, according to jail records.
