Minor Injuries in I-55 Rollover Accident Wednesday
Two people refused treatment in a two-car accident that took place on I-55 near Route 53 Wednesday morning.
Two people had minor injuries in a two-car accident on I-55 near Route 53 Wednesday morning, according to officials.
One of the cars rolled over in the accident, which took place around 9 a.m. Two lanes of I-55 were shut down while the scene was cleaned up.
Both refused treatment, according to Battalion Chief Dan Raff.

A driver was injured in a rollover accident Aug. 15 on Lily Cache Lane, according to .
At 7:51 a.m., a 2009 Nissan Versa was heading eastbound on Lily Cache Lane when a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix pulled out of a private drive and struck the Versa on the driver's side.
The impact caused the Versa to flip over. The driver was sent to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Grand Prix declined medical treatment.
Driver charged with DUI in Aug. 11 accident
In the early hours of Aug. 11, a car was traveling westbound on Hywood Lane when it struck a parked car and flipped onto its roof.
Jorge Roman, 22, of 194 Clifton Ln., and his passenger were taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital for minor injuries.
Once Roman was released from the hospital, he was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
