Fountaindale unveiled its Studio 300 March 16. The space includes six sound recording studios, two video recording studios and three group collaboration rooms with video conferencing capabilities. There's also a 3-D printer and a computer center with Mac's equipped with photo, audio and video editing software.

Studio 300 is located on the library's lowest level and bore the brunt of the damage, officials said. Fountaindale closed Thursday after heavy flooding in the area but re-opened Friday. At that point, everything was operational on the main three floors, except one of two public elevators.

Studio 300 has remained closed, with flood damage affecting the space's carpet, drywall and insulation. The carpet was completely removed over the weekend. Crews have begun to remove drywall and insulation that was damaged. Fountaindale may also need to remove some furniture. Most of the equipment, though, was not damaged.

"We will continue to work with consultants this week to assess the damage and take the next steps to bring our Studio back online," according to a press release from Fountaindale Public Library. "We are working as quickly as possible to repair and restore the beautiful new space."

Fountaindale posted that Studio 300 programming was still being held, though in a different location:

"Though the actual Studio 300 space is temporarily closed, our previously scheduled programs are still being held. The location may have changed (Laura taught her iPhone Cinema class in the Storytime room), but the same solid content is in place. Please check the library calendar for the new locations or stop by our temporary desk in the lobby near the stairs."

Officials have not set a specific date set for when Studio 300 will re-open.
