Motorcyclist Hurt in Bolingbrook Crash

Police said car turned out in front of motorcycle.

A motorcyclist and the passenger in a vehicle were injured Tuesday in a crash at Boughton Road and Lindsey Lane.

Bolingbrook Police Lt. Mike Rompa said a preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcyclist was heading east on Boughton at around 6:05 p.m. when a 2013 Volkswagen Passat turned left in front of his 2009 Yamaha YZF R1.

The motorcyclist was taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove for a pelvic injury, which was not believed to be life threatening, Rompa said.

A passenger in the vehicle was taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital for a minor head injury caused by air bag deployment, police said.

The female driver of the Passat was issued a citation for making an improper turn, Rompa said.
