No Crime Reported on Christmas Day in Bolingbrook

No arrests or incidents were reported by the Bolingbrook Police Department on Dec. 25.

Arrests and criminal activity have been reported by the Bolingbrook Police Department on every day so far in December, except for one -- Christmas Day. 

No arrests or incidents on Dec. 25 were included in the police department's weekly police blotter release. Several crimes, however, took place on Christmas Eve and on Dec. 26. 

Crime on Dec. 25 may be reported at a later date. When it is, we'll post it on the site.

Theft from Menards 

Officers were called to Menards, 290 N. Bolingbrook Dr., for the report of a retail theft at 8:20 a.m., police said. The thief stole drill bits and attempted to return the unpaid merchandise. 

Wallet stolen from Meijer patron 

A wallet was stolen from a purse of a person shopping at Meijer, 225 N. Weber Rd., between 12 p.m. and 12:35 p.m., police said. 

HP laptop stolen from car 

A HP laptop was stolen from a car while the victim was shopping on the 200 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive between 6 p.m. and 6:15 p.m., police said. The loss was valued at $500. 

Theft from Macy's 

A 17-year-old was arrested at 3:39 p.m. and charged with retail theft at Macy’s, 645 E. Boughton Rd., police said. 

Burglary to a motor vehicle 

Officers were called to the 100 block of Arrowhead Lane for the report of a burglary to a motor vehicle, police said. A ladder and misc tools were stolen from a car parked in the driveway between Dec. 23 and 24. 

Obstructing justice 

Silvia Hurtado, 38, 180 Plainview Dr., was arrested at 11:17 p.m. and charged with obstructing justice on Hedgerow Court, police said.
