Police Blotter: 14 Pianos Stolen From Trailer

Sunday, Dec. 18

1. 14 pianos stolen

Police were called to the 500 block of South Bolingbrook Drive for the report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The lock mechanism was cut to a trailer and 14 pianos were taken between Dec. 17 and Dec. 18. Loss valued at $5,600.

2. 1,500 gallons of gas stolen

Police were called t a business on the 400 block of Stevenson Drive for the report of a theft. Extension cords and 1,500 gallons of gasoline were taken between 12:45 a.m. and 3:25 a.m. A hole as found cut in the fence to the business and a gate was forced open to gain entry. Loss valued at $7,800.

3. DUI

Richard Perez, 22, of the 300 block of Edgehill Drive, was charged with DUI, no insurance, driving on a suspended license and aggravated DUI following a traffic stop at the intersection of Pinecrest Road and Gary Drive at 4:16 a.m.

4. Clothes taken from Kohl’s

Several clothing items were taken from Kohl’s, located at 1138 W. Boughton Rd., at 4:54 p.m. A suspect removed tags from the items and walked out of the store without paying. Oss valued at $134.

5. Windows broken

An unknown suspect broke two windows to a home on the 500 block of East Briarcliff Road at 3:05 a.m.

6. Car windshield broken

A windshield was broken to a car parked on the 200 block of Andover Court at 3:45 a.m.

7. Credit card fraud

Rashaun Richmond, 20, of the 300 block of Greencrest Drive, was charged with credit card fraud on the 100 block of Lawton Drive at 4:26 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 17

8. Robbery

Police were called to the 100 block of Jamestown Lane for the report of a robbery. A victim told police their wallet was taken by two unknown males at 1:05 a.m.

9. Warrants

Jerrell Johnson, 21, of the first block of Marshall Ash Court, was charged with resisting a peace officer and two in-state warrants on the 100 block of Jamestown Lane at 1:29 a.m.

Friday, Dec. 16

10. DUI

Michael Pierce, 41, of the 600 block of Glenhurst Court in Romeoville, was charged with DUI following a traffic stop at the intersection of Pinecrest Road and Rothbury Court at 10:30 p.m.
