Police Blotter: 16-Year-Old Sent to Hospital After Robbery

Tuesday, Nov. 8

1. Home window shattered

A front window to a home on the 100 block of Monterey Drive between Nov. 7 and Nov. 8 was found broken.

2. Retail theft

Peter Winslow, 40, of the 8400 block of South Luella Avenue in Chicago, was charged with retail theft and possession of a stolen car at Aaron’s Furniture, located at 122 S. Bolingbrook Dr., after taking a tablet computer and fleeing the store. A traffic stop was conducted on the 2000 block of Rodeo Drive at 11:20 a.m.

3. Residential burglary

Police were called to Lot V of Fernwood Drive for the report of a residential burglary. A homeowner found the glass of the front door broken and left open. The homeowner was unsure what may have been taken.

4. Robbery

Police were called to the 100 block of Canterbury Lane for the report of a robbery. A 16-year-old said they were walking along Canterbury Lane when they were approached by several subjects who punched the victim several times and took their watch. The victim was transported to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital for injuries.

Monday, Nov. 7

5. Stolen GPS

A Garmin GPS unit was taken from a car parked on the 200 block of Davis Lane between Nov. 6 and Nov. 7. Loss valued at $500.

6. Briefcase, money stolen from office

A briefcase, laptop computer and money was taken from an office on the 300 block of West Crossroads Parkway between Nov. 6 and Nov. 7. Loss valued at $3,500.
