Police Blotter: 19 Year Old Charged With Residential Burglary

1. Possession with intent to deliver

Alfredo Concepcion, 30, of the 1000 block of 9th Street in Beardstown, and Edwin Olmo-Betancourt, of the 400 block of Edwards Street in Beardsown, were both charged with possession with intent to deliver after they were caught with meth in their car. Olmo-Betancourt was also charged with no driver’s license and improper lane usage following a traffic stop at the intersection of Route 53 and I-55 at 1:37 a.m.

2. Stolen car

A 2006 tan Nissan Maxima was taken from a driveway on Marshall Court between 1 a.m. and 6:50 a.m.

3. Burglary

Police were called to the 200 block of West South Frontage Road for the report of a burglary. A fence was cut to gain entry and tires and wheels were removed from a truck in the lot between Dec. 28 and Dec. 29.

4. Car burglary

A Serius XM radio was removed from an unlocked car on the 100 block of Lexington Drive between 6:30 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. Loss valued at $100.

5. Residential burglary

Police were called to the 200 block of Kenilworth for the report of a residential burglary. A homeowner told police they heard glass breaking at 12:16 p.m. and saw an unknown person exit the home. Michael Weathers-Veal, 19, of the 200 block of Meadowbrook, was charged with the crime.

6. Stolen car (not seen on map)

A 1997 green Mercury Villager was taken from a home on the 100 block of Kingston Drive and later found down the street after it struck a house and two parked cars at 9:29 p.m.
