Police Blotter: Aggravated Robbery, Car Theft, Theft from Meijer

Aggravated robbery 

Officers were called to the 200 block of Recreation Drive at 10 p.m. for the report of an aggravated robbery, said. The victim was approached by a large group of subjects who threw the victim to the ground began punching and kicking. The group then took the victim’s wallet, keys, iPod and phone.

In-state warrant 

Larry Clemons, 42, of 12 H Wildwood Ln., was arrested at 4:40 a.m. and charged with an in-state warrant, following a traffic stop Boughton Road and Janes Avenue, police said. 

June 24

Car theft 

A landscaping brick was used to break the window of a car in the 500 block of Falconridge Way to gain entry at 2:30 a.m., police said. A laptop and shoulder briefcase were taken. The loss was valued at $1,200. 

Theft from Meijer  

Michael Allen III, 20, of 1657 Boulder Ridge Dr., was arrested at 10 p.m. and charged with retail theft after taking several bottles of liquor from Meijer, 225 N. Weber Rd., police said. The loss was valued at $80. 

Driving under the influence 

Steven Kipper, 32, 759 Rolling Dr., Lisle, was arrested at 3:03 a.m. and charged with improper lane usage, driver safety belt violation and two counts of DUI following a traffic stop at Barbers Corner Road and Boughton Road, police said. 

Driving under the influence 

Rodrigo Barajas, 47, of 1024 Bothwell Ct., was arrested at 7:16 p.m. and charged with a traffic signal violation, DUI, obstructed windshield and illegal transportation of alcohol following a traffic stop at Lily Cache Lane and Schmidt Road, police said. 

Driving under the influence 

James Chiminski, 34, of 161 S. Lancaster Dr., was arrested at 9:39 p.m. and charged with improper lane usage, child safety seat violation and DUI following a traffic stop at Route 53 and Boughton Road, police said.

Resisting a peace officer 

Kenny Brown, 18, of 2101 Ashbrook Ct. in Plainfield, and a 16-year-old were both arrested at 3:45 a.m. and charged with resisting a peace officer following a traffic stop at Assembly Drive and Pinecrest Road, police said.
