Police Blotter: Attempted Murder, Domestic Battery & Warrant Arrests
Arrests made by Bolingbrook police and other law enforcement agencies.
Levan C. Davis, 21, Bolingbrook, has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery against a peace officer in connection with an Aug. 7 incident when he allegedly attacked a Bolingbrook police officer with a metal pole, according to a Chicago Tribune report. His next court date is Sept. 5, according to the Will County Sheriff's office.
Marcus A. Johnson, 24, 145 Butternut, Bolingbrook, was booked on Aug. 29, 2013, by Joliet police on three warrants—one out of DeKalb County, one filed by the Cicero police department and one out of DuPage County. He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. His bail was set at $1,200.
Leo J. Thomas, 22, 101 Staunton, Bolingbrook, was booked on Aug. 28, 2013, by Romeoville police on a warrant out of Livingston County. He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. His bail was set at $1,500.
Lawrence S. Simms, 48, 206 Douglass, Bolingbrook, was booked by Bolingbrook police on Aug. 29, 2013, on a charge of domestic battery/physical contact. He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
David C. Niemiec, 24, 228 N. Lancaster, Bolingbrook, was booked by Bolingbrook police on Aug. 28, 2013, on charges of domestic battery/physical contact and a warrant out of LaSalle County. He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. His bail was set at $1,000.
