Police Blotter: Battery, Retail Theft and Residential Burglary

Bolingbrook police reports, Nov. 3-4.

Friday, Nov. 4

1. Car burglary

A gold purse and wallet were taken from the passenger seat of a car parked on the 100 block of South Palmer Drive between Nov. 4 and Nov. 5.

2. Illegal possession of alcohol

Eduardo Tejeda, 18, of the 200 block of Prairie Circle, was charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor on the 300 block of Commons Drive at 7:59 p.m.

3. Stolen GPS

A GPS unit was taken from a car parked on the 200 block of Cheshire Court between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Loss valued at $250.

4. Battery

A 17-year-old was charged with a battery on the 500 block of East Boughton Road at 11:49 a.m.

5. Retail theft

Kelsy Diaz-Hernandez, 20, of the 100 block of Pepperwood Drive, was charged with retail theft at Kohl’s, located at 1138 W. Boughton Rd., at 7:34 p.m.

6. DUI

Elijah Manuel, 26, of the 1000 block of East Clinton Drive in Joliet, was charged with driving on a revoked license, no insurance, DUI and resisting a peace officer following a traffic stop on the 500 block of Territorial Drive at 7:44 p.m.

7. Stolen GPS

A Motorola GPS unit was taken from a car parked in a garage on the 400 block of Bluebird Drive between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Loss valued at $250.

Thursday, Nov. 3

8. Residential burglary

Police were called to the 100 block of Northridge Drive for the report of a residential burglary. A kitchen window was found broken and a PS2 game system, portable DVD player, a bike and three video games were taken between Nov. 2 and Nov. 3.

9. Retail theft

Police were called to Charming Charlie’s at 631 E. Boughton Rd., for the report of a retail theft. A witness told police that an employee take money from a bank drop and make several fraudulent returns. Loss valued at $2,000.

10. Residential burglary

Police were called to the 100 block of Enclave Circle, for the report of a residential burglary. Two purses were taken from the car parked in the garage between 7:40 p.m. and 7:55 p.m.
