Wednesday, March 9

Theft

Kath Freeberg, 44, of the 500 block of Redwood Road, was charged with retail theft at Big Lots, police said.

DUI

Jose Rios, 34, of the 200 block of Butternut Drive, was charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident and no insurance, police said.

Tuesday, March 8

Suspended license

Felicity Fields, 23, of the 300 block of Whitewater Drive, was charged with driving on a suspended license and driving on a revoked license, police said.

Warrant

Derrick Tall, 29, of the 700 block of Lundy Drive in Streator, was charged in connection with three outstanding warrants, police said.

Theft

A battery charger and mini camcorder were taken from a business on the 300 block of West Briarcliff Road, police said.

Box cutter fight

Officers were called to the 100 block of Somerset Lane for a report of a fight. Witnesses said the offender punched, kicked and threatened the victim with a box cutter, according to police. The victim was treated for a broken nose, police said.

Criminal damage to property

Edgar Torrijos-Perez, 18, of the 600 block of Preston Drive, was charged with criminal damage to property and criminal defacement of property on the 400 block of Wellington Drive, police said.

Monday, March 7

Damaged air conditioner

Two air conditioning units were damaged to a business on the 200 block of Canterbury Lane, police said.

Residential burglary

A 55-inch TV and DVD player were stolen from a home on the 500 block of Old Stone Drive, police said. According to the report, the homeowner found the front door open.

Aggravated assault

Michael Reed Jr., 39, of the 4900 block of Calumet Avenue, of Hammond, IN, was charged with aggravated assault, no firearm owner's ID card and unlawful possession of a firearm, police said.

Sunday, March 6

DUI

Brent Koors, 27, of the 1000 block East Virginia Street in Peoria, was charged with DUI, driving on suspended license, improper lane use and illegal transportation of alcohol, police said.

Resisting a peace officer

  • Police said Alexandre Cannon, 23, of the 400 block of Pheasant Chase Circle, was charged with resisting a peace officer.
  • Tina Invergo, 53, of the 700 block of Hawthorne Court, was charged with resisting a peace officer, according to reports.

Armed robbery

Police said three men were charged with armed robbery in connection with an incident on the 100 block of Enclave Circle. The men charged included Maldonado Roberts, 20, of the 1400 block of Fitzer Drive in Joliet; Shawn Smith, 19, of the 84000 block of Major Blizzard Avenue in Pasadena, TX; and Jonathan Smith, 19, of the 1700 block of Raleigh Trail in Romeoville.

SATURDAY, MARCH 5

Criminal trespass

Arnold Zavala, 20, of the 400 block of Salem Square, was charged with criminal trespass to motor vehicle after a call of a suspicious person in the area of Weber Road and Rodeo Drive, police said.

Resisting a peace officer

Francisco Campos, 18, of the 100 block of Holly Lane, was charged with resisting a peace officer, police said.

DUI

Jorge Mantilla, 19, 4100 block of Providence Court, was charged with DUI, police said.

Friday, March 4

Battery

Officers responded to a call of battery on the 300 block of North Schmidt Road. A witness told police they were punched in the face, according to reports.

Retail theft

Michael Wozgard, 51, of the 100 block of Delmar, was charged with retail theft at Menards, police said.

Thursday, March 3

Assault

Roberto Zavala, 22, of the 100 block of Malibu Drive, and a 16-year-old juvenile were both charged with assault, police said.

Battery

Atzshat Khare, 18, 700 block of Crestview Lane, was charged with battery, police said.
