Police Blotter: Car Window Shattered on Mayfair, Car Burglary at Brookhaven

Darien Police Reports Oct. 16 - 21.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18

Burglary from Motor Vehicle

Sometime between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., someone broke the rear passenger side window of an SUV parked in the parking lot of Brookhaven Marketplace at 7516 Cass Avenue and stole a purse that was on the floor of the backseat. The victim told Darien Police the loss was about $600.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 17

Theft

At about 11:40 p.m., someone took a cell phone from a table left in the 7500 Block of Country Lane. Estimated loss was $200.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 16

Criminal Damage to Property

Sometime between 8:30 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. someone shattered the front passenger window of a car parked on the street on the 7800 Block of Mayfair. Total loss was estimated at $200.

I enjoy reading the Darien Patch daily as it gives a heads up on your surroundings to be more alert in what you are doing, like making sure your car doors are locked and dont leave anything on your seats to tempt a passerby. The Patch makes us more aware ! Thank You for the reports!
