Police Blotter: Diabetic Strips Stolen From Walgreens, Battery, DUI

Diamond ring stolen

A diamond ring, valued at $900, was removed from a nightstand between 6:40 a.m. and 2:35 p.m. at a business in the 500 block of North Janes Avenue.

Window shattered with bat

Someone broke out a vehicle window with a bat at 3:47 p.m. at the intersection of Boughton Road and Hickory Oaks Drive.

Disorderly conduct

Anthony Contreras, 20, 4502 Avers Ave., Chicago, and Guadalupe Galvin IV, 19, 209 N. Lancaster Drive, were both charged with disorderly conduct at 10:59 p.m. in the 400 block of Greentree Lane. Also during the incident a 15-year-old was charged with curfew violation, disorderly conduct and possession of smoking materials by a minor.

Retail theft

Rodereco Dale, 18, 318 Charlestown Drive, was charged with retail theft at 4:50 p.m. at Meijer, 225 N. Weber Road.

Battery

Chelsea Greene, 19, 305 Rosebud Court, and Breanna Haqq, 21, 649 W. Briarcliff Road, were both charged with battery at 3:30 a.m. following an incident in the 200 block of Blackberry Drive.

Diabetic strips stolen from Walgreens

About 15 boxes of diabetic strips, valued at $1,074, were stolen between 8 and 11 a.m. from an unlocked display at Walgreens, 695 W. Boughton Road.

Domestic battery

Brandon Spain, 23, 2508 Waterbury Ave., Woodridge, was charged with domestic battery and aggravated battery at 9:52 p.m. in the 300 block of West Briarcliff Road.

Criminal damage to property

Devon Lawson, 21, 1751 Alan Deathridge Drive, was charged with criminal damage to property after breaking several windows to a vehicle parked in the 600 block of East Boughton Road.

DUI

Fredy Villagran, 41, 283 Claridge Cir., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 2:58 a.m. following a traffic stop at Schmidt and Boughton roads.
