Police Blotter: Driving on a Suspended License & Warrant Arrests

Also, police report several vehicles were rummaged through during an incident on Gettysburg Drive.

The following incidents were reported by the Bolingbrook Police Department and the Will County Sheriff’s Office:

Jan. 24: Babatunde T. Palmer, 40, 368 Meadowlark, Bolingbrook, was charged with driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Jan. 13: Officers responded to the 500 block of South Bolingbrook Drive for the report of an attempted robbery. Unknown subject entered the business and demanded the U.S. currency and implied had a handgun at 2:05 a.m., claimed they were joking, mumbled some obscenities and left the business on foot.

Jan. 13: Shinequa Jimerson, 24, 925 Dawes Ave., Joliet, was charged with two in-state warrants, no insurance and a moving violation following a traffic stop at Bolingbrook Drive & Crossroads Parkway at 12:02 a.m.

Jan. 13: A shipping container was taken from the 700 block of Gateway Drive between Jan. 10-13. A lock was cut to a secured gate, the container contained over 1,300 vehicle tires. Loss valued at $417,000.

Jan. 14: A tablet was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked on the 600 block of Preston Drive between 5:30-8:30 p.m. Loss valued at $500.

Jan. 14: Officers responded to Lot P of Fernwood Drive for the report of a theft. The victim was attempting to sell a cell phone through Craigslist. The victim met with an unknown subject who grabbed the phone and ran off at 3:02 p.m. Loss valued at $250.

Jan. 14: Samuel Boah, 27, 353 Clifton Lane, was charged with an in-state warrant at 4:53 p.m.

Jan. 14: Kwame Nketiah, 23, 314 D. Woodcreek Drive, was charged with an in-state warrant on the 200 block of South Bolingbrook Drive at 3:39 p.m.

Jan. 15: Officers were called to Tailgaters, 431 W. Boughton Road, for the report of a battery. The victim states they were hit in the head after a verbal argument at 12:35 a.m.

Jan. 15: Several vehicles were rummaged through on the 200 block of Gettysburg Drive between 1-1:34 a.m. A GPS unit was taken from one vehicle. Loss valued at $100.

Jan. 15: Gerardo Martinez-Berrum, 41, 619 Chesapeake Drive, was charged with equipment violation, in-state warrant and driving on a suspended license following a traffic stop at Falconridge Way & Rothbury Court at 3:20 p.m.
