Police Blotter: Four Homes Broken Into in One Night

1. iPod taken from car parked in the garage

Police were called to the 1100 block of Lily Field Lane for the report of a residential burglary. An iPod Shuffle was taken from a car parked in the garage between 11:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Loss valued at $50.

2. Residential burglary

Police were called to the 200 block of North Canyon Drive for the report of a residential burglary. A rear window and door were found ajar at 2:40 p.m.

3. Stolen stove

A stove was taken from a vacant home on the 400 block of Delaware Circle between Aug. 6 and Aug. 8.

4. Burglars snatch jewelry, laptop

Police responded to the 100 block of Ashbury Avenue for the report of a residential burglary. The homeowner told police they arrived home and discovered the front door smashed and several rooms had been rummaged through. A laptop and jewelry were missing between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. Loss valued at $4,000.

5. Thieves try to return unpurchased merchandise, then bail

Police responded to the Meijer at 225 N. Weber Rd. for the report of a retail theft. Police say subjects attempted to return unpurchased merchandise and when they were refused the return, they exited the store without paying and entered a car at 3:50 p.m. Loss valued at $318.
