Police Blotter: Jewelry Snatched from Three Homes in One Night

Bolingbrook police reports, Aug. 29.

1. Person forced to withdraw money from ATM

A victim reported being robbed on the 400 block of North Bolingbrook Drive at 11:38 p.m. An unknown subject approached the victim at an ATM and demanded money be withdrawn while pushing a hard unknown object into their back. Loss valued at $143.

2. Residential burglary

Police responded to the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive for the report of a residential burglary. Police say an unknown subject entered through an unlocked window and took a Nintendo DS and several pieces of jewelry between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. Loss valued at $700.

3. Video games stolen in home burglary

Police were called to the 300 block of King Arthur Court for the report of a residential burglary. The homeowner told police they discovered a rear door was used to gain entry and an Xbox, PS3 and numerous jewelry items were taken between Aug. 28 and Aug. 29. Loss valued at $19,000.

4. Jewelry missing after home invasion

Police were called to the 100 block of Malibu Drive for the report of a residential burglary. The victim realized a bedroom had been rummaged through and several pieces of jewelry were taken between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Loss valued at $750.

5. Blanket heist

A front door to a home on the 500 block of Preston Drive was forced open between 12 p.m. and 7:38 p.m. and a 37-inch TV and a blanket were stolen. Loss valued at $1,100.

6. Warrants

Maurice Vespo, 32, of the 100 block of Allison Court, was charged with two in-state warrants following a traffic stop at the intersection of Pinecrest Road and Rockhurst Road at 3:27 p.m.
