Police Blotter: Panty Thieves Make Away with $1,400 of Underwear

Tuesday, Dec. 20
1. Violation of order of protection
Douglas Baer, 35, of the first block of Fernwood Drive, was charged with a violation of order of protection at 9:15 p.m.

2. Warrants
Victoria Garcia, 27, of the 2300 block of Market Street in Blue Island, was charged with two in-state warrants and driving on a suspended license following a traffic stop on the 200 block of South Weber Road at 7:03 a.m.

3. Retail theft
Carlos Rivera, 23, of the 200 block of Old Elm Drive, was charged with retail theft at Meijer, located at 225 S. Weber Rd., at 4:28 p.m.
4. Victoria’s Secret theft
Police were called to the Victoria’s Secret at 641 E. Boughton Rd. for the report of suspects running from the store with three bags of merchandise. A witness saw the suspects place numerous clothing items in tote bags and then run from the store at 7:10 p.m. Loss valued at $1,300.
Monday, Dec. 19
5. Residential burglary
Police were called to Lot O of Fernwood Drive for the report of a residential burglary. A laptop, flat screen TV, watch and two rings were taken between 12:30 p.m. and 1:57 p.m. Loss valued at $1,900.
6. Theft
Police were called to the 500 block of South Bolingbrook Drive for the report of a theft where eight engine doors were cut and removed from a trailer between Dec. 17 and Dec. 19. Loss valued at $2,000.
7. Warrant
Arnold Zavala, 21, of the 400 block of Salem Square, was charged with an in-state warrant at 2:58 a.m.
8. Warrant
Raphael Neely, 25, of the 100 block of Sunset Lane, was charged with an in-state warrant following a traffic stop on the 200 block of East Briarcliff Road at 11:02 p.m.
