Police Blotter: Purse Stolen From Home Overnight

Bolingbrook police reports, June 5-6.

Monday, June 6

DUI

Toe Lin, 33, of the 34000 block of Barnfield Court in Freemont, Calif., was charged with speeding and two counts of DUI following a traffic stop at the intersection of Hassert Boulevard and Lily Cache Lane, police said.

Domestic battery

Jesus Castillo, 21, of the 200 block of Coral Court, was charged with domestic battery, violation of order of protection, driving on a suspended license, no seatbelt and no insurance following a traffic stop on the 300 block of West Briarcliff Road, police said.

Purse stolen from home

Police were called to the 100 block of Flagstaff Drive for the report of a residential burglary. A purse was taken from the kitchen table sometime overnight and the garage door was found open, police said.

Video game systems stolen

Police were called to the 200 block of Monroe Road for the report of a residential burglary. The homeowner discovered a broken window and a PS3 game system, controllers, an XBOX 360 game system, video games, a 32-inch TV, watches, necklaces, money and a laptop were taken, police said. Loss valued at $3,200.

Possession of controlled substance

Felicia Ugalde, 21 of the 200 block of Emmett Street in Kinsman, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, failure to signal and a moving violation, police said.

Man breaks windshield with bat

Rudy Valdez, 21, of the 2500 block of Ruth Fitzgerald Drive in Plainfield, was charged with criminal damage to property and driving on a suspended license after police say he broke a windshield with a  bat on the 500 block of Preston Drive.

Forgery

A 17-year-old juvenile was charged with eight counts of forgery and theft on the 500 block of Preston Drive, police said.
