Police Blotter: Sept. 2 through Sept. 8

The following is a list of police activity in Bolingbrook from Sept. 2 to Sept. 8.

Sept. 1

Officers responded to a business on the 500 block of North Pinecrest Road for the report of a burglary. Two people reportedly entered the store and distracted the employee while a third person took the victim's wallet from behind the counter at 3:18 p.m.

Officers were called to the 500 block of South Bolingbrook Drive for the report of a theft. Kelly Taloff, 31, of 209 Pell Ave., in Romeoville, was charged with theft after being accused of taking money from the register.

Officers responded to the 1300 block of Lilac Drive for the report of a battery. A witness told police the victim was struck in the side of the head at 2:35 a.m.

A red 2005 Chrysler was taken from a driveway on the 100 block of Thackery Drive at 4 p.m.

Sept. 2

Rodney Campbell, 41, of 312C Woodcreek Dr., was arrested on an an outstanding warrant at 2:11 p.m.

Christina Purefoy, 23, of 3105 Heritage Dr., in Joliet, and Lauren Terry, 22, of 16 W. Honeysuckle Rose Ln., in Willowbrook, were both charged with employee theft following a call to Meijer at 225 N. Weber Rd., at 12:51 p.m.

Officers were called to the 505 building on Presting Drive for the report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. Someone broke a side window and removed several boxes containing watches and earrings, according to the report.

Dannon Wyatt, 23, of 133 Somerset Dr., was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop on the 3200 block of South Bolingbrook Drive at 8:40 p.m.

Sept. 3

Four juveniles were charged with criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to property on the 500 block of Princeton Drive at 12:48 p.m., after a call to the area for a residential burglary.

Officers were called to the 300 block of Greencrest Drive for the report of a burglary. The victim reportedly was brought outside by the offender and showed repairs that were needed to the roof at 9:25 a.m. When the victim returned to the residence, two rings were discovered missing, the report said. Loss valued at $3,300.

A 17-year-old juvenile was charged with retail theft at Meijer at 755 E. Boughton Rd., at 12:30 p.m.

Sept. 4

Officers responded to Victoria's Secret, 641 E. Boughton Rd., for the report of a retail theft. The subject reportedly entered the store and removed several pieces of clothing from a display and left the building at 1:38 p.m. Loss valued at $1,100.

Joey Mangio, 20, of 14017 Oak Ridge Dr., in Homer Glen, was charged with retail theft at Macy's, 645 E. Boughton Rd., at 6:11 p.m.

Floyd Robinson Jr. was charged with resisting a peace officer, following an incident at I- 55 and Route 53 at 7:22 p.m.

Sept. 5

Alberto Toribio, 25, of 501 Cumberland Dr., was charged with DUI, no insurance, driving on a suspended license and an outstanding warrant, following a traffic stop on the 400 block of Standish Court at 1:05 a.m.

Alisha Patterson, 19, of 190 Jamestown Dr., was charged with mob action following a call to the area for a fight at 2:40 p.m.

An MP3 player and a checkbook were taken from an unsecured vehicle parked on the 400 block of Larkspur Drive. Loss valued at $85.

A license plate on a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Julie Road was spray painted sometime overnight.

Sept. 6

Officers were called to the 200 block of Galewood Drive for the report of graffiti, which was spray painted to the residence.

Officers were called to the 100 block of Sunset Lane for the report of a residential burglary. A screen was cut to a window and an Xbox, PlayStation 3, digital camera, pair of shoes, iPod, video games, DVDs and a 32-inch TV were taken. Loss valued at $2,400.

Jesus Barrajas, 49, of 104 Fairwood Dr., was charged with, DUI, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol, following a traffic stop on the 100 block West Briarcliff Road at 3:55 a.m.

Officers responded to a business of the 500 block of Remington Boulevard for the report of a bomb threat. The report said a call came to the facility at 3:33 p.m., warning everyone to evacuate the building. Officers were then called to another business on the 100 block of South Bolingbrook Drive for a call of a bomb in the building at 2:53 p.m.

Jessica Lamb, 18, of 16172 New Avenue in Lemont, was charged with retail theft at Meijer, 755 E. Boughton Rd., at 11:30 a.m.

A 16-year-old juvenile was charged with disorderly conduct, following a complaint of a dice game at a park on the 1600 block of Apple Valley Drive at 6:09 p.m.

Sept. 7

Arnold Zavala, 20, of 449 Salem Square, was charged with two counts of illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, following a traffic stop on the 400 block of Salem Square at 1:47 a.m.

Demetrius Davidson, 21, of 778 Barclay Dr., was charged with retail theft at Meijer, 225 N. Weber Rd., at 12:39 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim reportedly was kicked in the stomach after a verbal argument on the 1200 block of North Boughton Road at 11 p.m.

A 16-year-old juvenile was charged with criminal damage to property, following a prior incident to the 500 block of Castle Ct. on Aug. 27.

A 2000 orange Caterpillar Backhoe was taken from Lily Cache Lane and Canterbury Drive.

Officers responded to a battery that allegedly occurred on the 100 block of Galewood Drive. The victim was hit in the jaw and fell to the ground, the report said. The victim was later transported for injuries.

Officers were called to the 100 block of Mellbrook Road for the report of a residential burglary. Victim stated the subject was looking for landscaping work at 2:52 p.m. The subject left and the victim noticed a lockbox and money were missing, police said. Loss valued at $800.

Sean Schmeske, 27, of 7812 161st St., Tinley Park, was charged with theft at XSport Fitness, 289 N. Weber Rd., at 10 a.m.

Sept. 8

An electric meter was removed from a secured vehicle after a tool box was pried open from a parked vehicle on the 200 block of West South Frontage Road between Sept. 2 and Sept. 8. Loss valued at $1500

A set of license plates were removed from a vehicle parked on the 1000 block of Remington Boulevard.

Officers were called to the 100 block of Jamestown Drive for the report of a fight. Witness stated the victim was punched several times and had bottles thrown at them at 11:29 p.m.
