Pet theft

Officers were called to Petland for the report of a missing canary that was taken from the store between 5 p.m. and 7:26 p.m., police said.

Warrant

Alberto Garcia, 42, of the first block of Hedgerow Court, was charged with no taillights, no valid driver’s license and an in-state warrant following a traffic stop at the intersection of Lily Cache Lane and Plainview Drive, reports said.

Stolen money

Derek Banicki, 29, of the 300 block of Northridge Avenue, was charged with theft on the 1200 block of West Boughton Road after he allegedly took money from a cash register, police said.

Feb. 21

Stolen car

A 1990 Toyota Camry was taken from the 500 block of Jill Lane, reports said.

Warrant

Delaine Terry, 44, of the 800 block of Summit Lane, was charged with an in-state warrant following a traffic stop on the 200 block of North Bolingbrook Drive, police said.

Feb. 20

Criminal trespass

Eduardo Tejeda, 18, of the 200 block of Prairie Circle, was charged with criminal trespass to property on the 400 block of Greentree Drive, reports said.

Feb. 19

DUI

Ashanti Johnson, 29, of the 400 block of East 33rdStreet in Chicago, was charged with improper lane usage, no valid driver’s license, no insurance and DUI following a traffic stop at the intersection of Route 53 and Robinhood Way, police said.

Jeffrey Lasley, 33, of the 800 block of West Grace Street in Chicago, was charged with failure to speeding, DUI, no driver’s license and resisting a peace officer following a traffic stop at the 400 block of W. Boughton Road.

Laura Kramarz, 37, of the 5500 block of East Lake Drive in Lisle, was charged with failure to yield and DUI following a traffic stop on the 400 block of West Boughton Drive, police said.

Feb. 18

Warrant

Arturo Orgtega, 20, of the 500 block of Preston Drive, was charged with an in-state warrant following a traffic stop on the 200 block of North Schmidt Drive, police said.

Resisting a peace officer

Robert Zavala, 21, of the 100 block of Malibu Drive, Alma Silva, 47, of the 100 block of Malibu Drive, and Denise Zavala, 23, of the 160 block of Malibu Drive, were all charged with resisting a peace officer, police said. Reports said a 16-year-old juvenile also was charged with no driver’s license, no insurance and resisting a peace officer.

Stolen trailers

A 2006 Wabach trailer was taken from a business parking lot on the 1000 block of Windham Parkway, police said.

A 2011 utility trailer was taken from a business parking lot on the 500 block of East Frontage road, police said.

Feb. 17

Warrant

Michael Funches, 19, of the first block of Penny Court, was charged with an in-state warrant following a traffic stop at the intersection of Delaware Drive and Dean Circle.

Residential burglary

Three televisions, a PS2 game system, camera, DVD player, watch, numerous necklaces, jewelry box and video games were taken from a home on Oldstone Drive, police said. The loss was valued at $6,200.
