Police Blotter: Tire Slasher Caught, Arrested

Wednesday, Dec. 21

1. Warrant

Carolina Araujo, 27, of the 100 block of Balmoral Drve, was charged with an in-state warrant on the 300 block of West Briarcliff Road at 1:31 p.m.

2. Stolen wallet

A wallet was taken from a victim while shopping on the 1100 block of West Boughton Road between 1 p.m. and 1:18 p.m.

3. Car burglary

Damarious Styles, 20, of the 100 block of Lawton Lane, was charged with burglary to a motor vehicle on the 300 block of West Briarcliff Road at 2:45 p.m. Styles was also charged with an in-state warrant on the 200 block of South Bolingbrook Drive following a traffic stop at 1:16 p.m. that same day.

4. Stolen cell phone

A cell phone was taken from a jacket on the 200 block of South Lindsey Lane at 5:30 p.m. Loss valued at $200.

5. Battery

Police were called to a business on the 1000 block of Windham Way for the report of a battery. The victim said they were punched in the face by another employee at 10:30 a.m.

6. Warrant

Susan Loraditch, 30, of the 500 block of Castle Court, was charged with an in-state warrant on the 300 block of West Briarcliff Road at 2 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 20

7. Stolen took box

A yellow tool box was removed from a car parked in Lot S of Fernwood Drive between Dec. 19 and Dec. 20. Loss valued at $600.

Friday, Dec. 9

8. Criminal damage to property

Travis Hembd, 25, of the first block of West 65th Street in Westmont, was charged with criminal damage to property following a previous incident of slashing towers.
