Sept. 10

Two wedding bands valued at $2,000 were taken from a residence in the 100 block of Fairwood Drive sometime between Aug. 27 and Sept. 7.

A business office on the 400 block of West Boughton Road was burglarized, police said. Officers found a front door open and the office had been rummaged through sometime overnight. It was uncertain what was missing.

The rear door of a home in the 200 block of Braemar Glen was kicked in and several pieces of jewelry, credit cards and money were taken between 11 a.m. and 2:40 p.m., according to police. The loss was valued at more than $6,200.

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property on the 1200 block of West Boughton Road at 8:08 p.m.

Officers were called to the 700 block of North Ashbury Road where they arrested Jamelle Gathings, 24, 709 N. Ashbury Rd. Police said she hit someone with a baseball bat. She's charged with battery.

Sept. 12

Officers responded to a report of a fight at 1:31 p.m. at 201 Recreation Drive. James Oliveri, 41, of 35 Greenwich Hills Dr., Greenwich, Conn., and Ronald Leggero, 42, of 20 E. 5th Ave., Naperville, were charged with battery.

Martin Martinez, 41, was charged with resisting a peace officer following a traffic stop on the 300 block of W. Briarcliff Road at 9 p.m.

Maurice Koonce, 48, 342 Delaware Dr., was charged with retail theft after bein arrested at Meijer, 225 N. Weber Rd., at 7:50 p.m.

 A GPS, a headrest monitor, a stroller, two baseball bats, a watch and a camcorder were taken from a car in the 100 block of Remington Boulevard between Sept. 11 and Sept. 12, police said. The loss was valued at $1,300.

Sept. 13

Arnold Zavala, 20, of 449 Salem Square, was charged with retail theft and resisting a peace officer after being arrested at Food 4 Less, 271 S. Bolingbrook Dr., at 6:55 p.m.

Domenica Moss, 18, of 117 Commonwealth Dr., and Melissa Kloft, 18, of 160 Ridgewood Ct., both were charged with retail theft after being arrested at Kohl's at 4:20 p.m.

A backpack and $20 were taken from a car in the 500 block of Eric Way, police said. The backpack was later found in a nearby yard.

Sept. 14

A car stereo was taken from a vehicle parked on the 1200 block of Canterbury Lane, police said, after someone broke the  window between 6:50 a.m and 6:30 p.m.

A 1997 green Tahoe was taken from the parking lot on the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive at midnight, police said.

Sept. 15

The sidewalk in the 1400 block of Raven Drive was spray painted with graffiti, police said.

Someone distracted a homeowner in the 500 block of East Briarcliff Road while others entered the home around 2 p.m. and removed a safe containing money and other documents, according to the police report. The loss was valued at $1,900.
