Thursday, July 21

Woman caught with stolen car

Sharice Lee, 20, of the 11000 block of Mayfield Drive in Chicago, ws charged with possession of a stolen car at the intersection of Briarcliff Road and Canterbury Lane at 1:25 a.m., police said.

Paint poured on car

Yellow paint was poured on a car parked on the 400 block of Wilshire Lane sometime overnight, police sai.d

Cell phone snatched in pool area

A cell phone was taken from the pool area on the 100 block of Joy Drive between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., police said. Loss valued at $75.

Residential burglary

Police responded to the 200 block of East Briarcliff Road for the report of a residential burglary. Police said a witness told them a rear door was damaged to gain entry and several walls were damaged. Copper piping was also removed. Another vacant house on the same block had a rear door kick in and several holes were made in the walls, but nothing appeared to be taken.

Retail theft and battery

Kaneeayl Davis, 19, of the 1700 block of Rosely Street in Philadelphia, was charged with retail theft and battery at the Burger King on 331 S. Bolingbrook Dr. at 10:12 p.m., police said.

Teen caught stealing ankle weights from car

A 16-year-old juvenile was charged with car burglary on the 300 block of Spring Mist Court after police said they took a set of ankle weights and an MP3 player at 1:30 p.m.

Resisting a peace officer

Victory Mendez, 18, of the 3000 block of West Nantucket Road in Joliet, was charged with resisting a peace officer following a call to the 200 block of Harwood Drive for the report of a large fight.

Tuesday, July 19

Truck taken from business

A 2001 Peterbilt truck was taken from a business parking lot on the 500 block of East South Frontage Road after repairs were done, police said.

Theft

Bryan Martinez-De La Torre, 20, of the 200 block of Homewood Drive, was charged with theft on the 700 block of East Boughton Road, police said.

DUI

James Miller, 39, of the first block of Lindsey Court, was charged with no insurance, DUI and improper lane usage following a traffic stop at the intersection of Lily Cache Lane and Schmidt Road, police said.

Prescription bottle snatched

A cell phone and prescription bottle were taken from an unlocked car on the 100 block of Cypress Drive, police said.

Car window broken

Windows to a car parked in a business parking lot on the 100 block of Old Chicago Drive were broken at 6:21 p.m., police said.
