Police: Fourth of July Drug Deal Lands One in the Hospital

Juvenile trying to buy the drug struck in the head with a bat, police say.

A Bolingbrook juveniles that tried to purchase marijuana on the Fourth of July wound up in the hospital after he was hit in the head with a bat.

Another juvenile trying to buy the drug was punched and kicked on after being shoved to the ground. 

According to police, the two youngsters were attempting to buy marijuana from a person named Carlos, who was described as 5-feet-8 witha  goatee and wearing a Miami Heat jersey.

Carlos arrived to the drug deal with three other people and immediately struck one of the juveniles in the head with a bat and took $20.

Meanwhile, the other victim was battered by being pushed to the ground, punched and kicked, said Bolingbrook Lieutenant Mike Rompa.

The offenders fled the area, Rompa said.
