Police Investigate Suspicious Package Found in Bolingbrook Neighborhood

A suspicious package found in Bolingbrook was deemed safe following an investigation by police Tuesday night.

A resident on Cardinal Lane in the Pheasant Chase subdivision called in a suspicious package around 6 p.m. which did not contain a return address, according to police. The package was checked out by law enforcement officials and deemed safe. Precautionary response and measures were taken, according to Bolingbrook Police Lt. Michael Rompa.

Police closed off Cardinal Lane during the investigation, according to a witness.
