Police: 'Irate' Woman Kicks Out Cop Car's Rear Windows, Curses at Police

Jessica Dunlap, 24, of Bolingbrook, cursed at officers, jumped around in the street and damaged police property after she was stopped for reckless driving Saturday, police said.

A woman jumped around in the street, cursed at officers and kicked out two rear windows of a police squad car after she was stopped for reckless driving Saturday night, police said. 

Jessica Dunlap, 24, of 427 Greentree Ln., was driving a silver BMW recklessly, almost striking a motorcycle, police said. She continued "at a high rate of speed while disobeying stop signs."

A police officer stopped Dunlap, who then became "very upset with the stop."

"As the officer was writing citations, the offender exited the vehicle (very irate) and jumped around in the roadway, while cursing at the officers," police said in a release.

Dunlap was taken into custody and escorted her into the rear of the squad "for her safety and the officers." She then became "even more irate" and kicked out one of the rear windows of the squad car. The officer began to transport her back to the police department when she kicked out the other window.

Bolingbrook Fire Department personnel were called to evaluate Dunlap. She cursed at BFD personnel and refused assistance.

Dunlap was charged with criminal damage to property, reckless driving, disregarding a stop sign and failure to reduce speed. 

She was processed and transported to Will County Adult Detention Facility.

The incident took place near Schmidt Road and Buckeye Lane around 8:15 p.m.
