Police: Out-of-Town Man Nabbed on Drug Charges

Cocaine, heroin allegedly found on Marseilles man during routine traffic stop.

A Marseilles man remains in custody after police allegedly found heroin and cocaine in him during a routine traffic stop over the weekend.

Bolingbrook Lieutenant Mike Rompa said the Problem Oriented Policing Unit conducted a traffic stop on a 1997 Green Pontiac Grand Am after the driver allegedly committed a moving violation and threw a cigarette out the window. 

After making contact with the occupants of the car, the passenger, Jaime Ringswald, 33, of Marseilles, was found to have 2.36 grams of suspect heroin and .39 grams of cocaine on him.

Ringswald was charged with illegal possession of a controlled substance and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. His brother, Mark Ringswald, 35, of Marseilles, was taken into custody for not having a driver’s license but later released on bond.
