Two teens were arrested Tuesday in connection with a Sunday shooting in which four shots were fired into a home where an adult and two children were sleeping, according to .
Both Calvin Brady, 19, of 334 Deerfield Dr., and Roc Bell, 19, of 499 Mallview Lane., were arrested around 1 a.m. Tuesday and charged with aggravated unlawful use of weapon, no FOID, possession of a handgun and attempted defacing of a handgun serial number.
Brady was also charged with resisting a peace officer and possession of marijuana.
On Sunday, one adult and two children were sleeping on a mattress in the downstairs family room in the 400 block of Devonshire Court, police said. Around 1 a.m., three bullets penetrated the north wall of the family room. One bullet struck the wall about a foot above the adult’s head, according to police. The last was fired into the upstairs bedroom, just above the family room.
Four 9mm casings were recovered from the scene. Police said three males and one female accompanied the shooter, who was said to be between 17 and 22 years old.
The two arrests were made early Tuesday when police responded to the 100 block of Pilgrim Court to a firework complaint. Calvin Brady, 19, of 334 Deerfield, fled the area when he saw an officer approach, according to police. Brady also threw something as he ran.
Police found marijuana on Brady, and a K9 officer and his partner located a 9mm handgun in the area.
Both Bell and Brady were taken to Will County jail.
