Police: Stolen Car Found a Few Homes Down—Crashed Into House

Stolen car found abandoned down the street after hitting a home and two parked cars.

A stolen car from the 100 block of Kingston Drive on Dec. 29 turned up just a few houses down the street, nestled safely in a neighboring home.

Bolingbrook police say a 1997 green Mercury Villager was reported stolen from a home. It was later found down the street after it had struck a house and two parked cars.

Information on the condition of the car burglar was not known.

Bolingbrook Lieutenant Mike Rompa said the offender fled on foot and the house was deemed unfit for occupancy per the building inspector because of the damage.

The incident happened shortly before 9:30 p.m.
