Police: Three In Custody After Pair of Bolingbrook Armed Robberies

All three charged with armed robbery, mob action and unlawful use of a weapon.

Three men have been arrested for holding up two Bolingbrook residents at gunpoint over the weekend, police said.

According to a police report, officers responded to the 600 block of Preston Drive for the report of a armed robbery on Friday at 11:36 p.m. Bolingbrook Lieutenant Mike Rompa said two black males, both armed with handguns, demanded and stole a necklace from the victim.

Less than 20 minutes later, at 11:53 p.m., police responded to another armed robbery on the 300 block of Meadowbrook Drive.

The victim of the second incident said an acquaintance, Douglas White, 19, of Joliet, and two other subjects — Dwayne White, 18, of Lockport and Andrew Knox, 19, of Joliet — pointed guns at him before taking approximately $350, cigarettes and a cell phone.

Police later located all three men and recovered two loaded handguns and the necklace from the first armed robbery, Rompa said.

The victim in the second incident identified all three of the men, who were taken into custody and charged with armed robbery, mob action, unlawful use of a weapon. The men remain in the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
