Police: Two Bolingbrook Men Arrested on Unrelated Drug Charges

Two Bolingbrook men were arrested Thursday night on drug charges and remain in jail.

Two Bolingbrook men were in jail Friday after police arrested them in connection with unrelated drug offenses late Thursday night, according to reports.

Police said Samuel Harrold, 60, of the 400 block of Degas Circle, was arrested and charged with illegal possession of marijuana after police say they found nearly 250 grams of the drug on him, and in his car and Bolingbrook home.

According to the report, a patrol officer stopped Harrold in connection with a traffic violation at the intersection of Arrowhead Lane and Route 53 shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday. Harrold was taken into custody after officers said they found 15 grams of marijuana in his possession. Police said further investigation revealed Harrold also had 15 grams of marijuana in his car's trunk and 210 grams of the drug in his home.

Harrold remained in the Will County Adult Detention Facility as of Friday afternoon.

In an unrelated incident, Keith Pearson, 43, of the 100 block of Pilgrim Court, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and driving on a revoked or suspended license after police said he was caught with heroin, cocaine and more than $1,000 worth of cash in his car.

According to the report, a patrol officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop in connection with an equipment violation on Pearson’s car. After traveling two additional blocks, police said Pearson pulled over.

Upon making contact with Pearson, police said they detected a strong odor of alcohol on him and drug paraphernalia was found in his car. Further investigation revealed Pearson’s passenger, a 44-year-old white female, had six baggies of heroin and cocaine, which allegedly belonged to Pearson, according to reports.

Pearson was taken into custody and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
