Police: Woman Arrested After Charging $8k to Daughter's Credit Card

Deborah Gibson, of Bolingbrook, turned herself in to police on unlawful use of a credit card and identity theft charges.

A woman was arrested over the weekend after she allegedly charged more than $8,000 to her daughter’s credit card, police said.

Deborah Gibson, of the 500 block of Cambridge Way, turned herself in to police on unlawful use of a credit card and identity theft charges.

Police said she allegedly located her daughter’s Discover card, pretended to be her daughter in order to activate the card and then charged a total of $8,200 to the account.

The daughter decided to pursue charges, police said.

Gibson has since been processed and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
