I think he will be found not guilty. As Littlebear stated, he's guilty as hell, but I fear he'll be found not guilty.

If Casey Anthony can get away with murder, sadly, he can to.

Hopefully there aren't 2 juries who are unable to complete a simple puzzle and we wont have a repeat of the Pinella's Pinheads.

He boasted one time too many about how he could "kill someone and make it look like an accident." He was convincing enough to cause Kathleen to share what he had threatened her with.. with family & friends as well as write a letter to the assistant states attorney 16 months BEFORE she was murdered!! After getting caught in the process of "cleaning up" after carrying out his deed, he had to tell yet another because he was sure he needed an alibi. The alibi eventually grew a little wiser and decided she needed to start talking, unfortunately she disappeared before she was able to share the wealth of information she had with the proper authorities!

I regrettably say not guilty. He is not on trial for being a jerk. I just dont see the physical evidence of guilt

Not Guilty. And I actually doubt the guy did it. Remember all those "police reports involving Drew Peterson and Kathleen Salvio"? If you actually read them, the majority are Kathleen complaining about Stacy, and Stacy hit Kathleen, Stacy threatened Kathleen, etc. LOTS of bad blood between the new wife and the old. Stacy's own family TESTIFIED IN THIS TRIAL that Stacy told them all about how SHE knew how to "sneak in" to that house. IF it was a murder and not an accident, there's no reason to suspect one over the other. Especially since the statements Stacy made to others would have been exactly what she needed to say to cover her own ass - until she threatened Drew with the "I have so much on him he can't do anything", and realized she'd better run away (like her own mother did) so he couldn't turn HER in for the murder that SHE did.

What??? No way did Stacy leave her newborn and run out and kill Kathleen.
Agu Yiknow September 06, 2012 at 07:40 PM
Stacy didn't have a "newborn" when she ran off and left her family. She had a 2 year old and a 4 year old.

Stacy's children were 2 and 4 when she went missing not when Savio was killed by Drew. Savio gave him the divorce without a financial settlement so the boy could be born with his father's insurance.

Drew Peterson was found guilty because we want him to be guilty---he's am arrogant lout and clearly appears to possess numerous sociopathic traits----but despicable character traits aren't enough to be found guilty of murder as presented by the prosecution---we should all be concerned when laws are created to insure a conviction just because the state can't provide tangible evidence...perhaps justice was served and I believe Peterson is responsible for the murder of his former wife and disappearance of his current wife---but next time it might be you or a family member---what will you think of the laws that helped convict Peterson then?

Personally and after the fact, now that he has been found guilty, I think he's innocent of murder. He may be a lot of things but a murderer NO. Stacy was no innocent angel, she was having sex with a married man in the basement of his home while his wife and children slept. She was young yes, but she knew right from wrong and this was definitely wrong. The verdict was founded in the court of media and public opinion. There was absolutely no physical evidence of murder, connecting Peterson. The state of Illinois is one of the most corrupt states... along with Louisiana.
