Romeoville Pedicure Lawsuit Alleges Agony of De Feet

A woman's lawsuit claims her heel was cut during a pedicure.

By Joseph Hosey

A woman's Romeoville pedicure caused her so much "pain and suffering" she needs at least $100,000, according to a lawsuit filed Monday in Will County court.

The lawsuit names Leza Nail Spa and its owner, Vincent C. Le, as defendants.

The woman suing Le and his South Weber Road nail spa, Stephanie Gunter, went for a pedicure in December 2011, the lawsuit said.

During the pedicure, "skin and subcutaneous tissue were cut from the heel of (Gunter's) foot" by an unidentified "Nail Technician," the suit said.

On top of her pain and suffering, Gunter "incurred and may continue to incur medical bills," the suit said. She also lost "time from her usual occupation and duty."

The lawsuit does not disclose what Gunter's usual occupation or duty might be.
