Second Man Charged with Robbing Bolingbrook Delivery Drivers

Joliet police arrested robbery suspect on a Will County warrant on Monday.

A second suspect was arrested in Joliet this week in connection with the armed robbery of two food delivery drivers in Bolingbrook.

Lawrence Jackson, 20, of the 300 block of Thistle, Bolingbrook, was arrested by Joliet police Monday in connection with two alleged stick-ups that happened on the same block in Bolingbrook.

Jackson is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, and remains in custody at the Will County jail on $175,000 bond.

His alleged accomplice, 22-year-old Chillis Moultrie, also of Bolingbrook, was arrested May 22 and charged with one count of aggravated robbery. Jail records show that Moultrie also remains in custody on $175,000 bond. Both men are due in Will County court on July 17.

Jackson and Moultrie are accused of robbing two delivery drivers at gunpoint on May 20 and May 22 in the 300 block of Drake Court.

Bolingbrook police said they received a call at 10:56 p.m. May 20 after a male victim said he was held up at gunpoint while delivering pizza. Lt. Mike Rompa said two male suspects allegedly pointed a gun at the pizza delivery man and demanded money. One suspect removed $15 from his pocket before the two alleged thieves fled — taking the pizza and drinks with them, police said.

Two days later on the same block, a Chinese food delivery driver reported being approached by two male suspects at around 8:30 p.m. This time around, one offender was armed with a knife, according to police. The suspects took money and a cell phone from the victim's pocket before fleeing on foot, Rompa said.

According to police reports, Jackson was taken into custody on a Will County warrant at around 9:15 p.m. Monday at 366 N. Broadway St. in Joliet.
