State Trooper Hurt in Crash Near Boughton Road

No one else was injured in the crash.

A state trooper was injured in a crash early Friday on northbound I-355 near the Boughton Road toll plaza, according to ABC7.

At around 5:30 a.m., the officer lost control of his squad car and spun out, rear-ending a semi-truck parked on the right shoulder, ABC reported. The back of the squad car reportedly went underneath the truck's tanker.

The officer was taken to Advocate Bolingbrook Hospital with minor injuries. No one else was injured in the crash, according to reports.

Cash lanes at the toll plaza were shut down on northbound I-355, and traffic was only moving through I-Pass lanes.
