Teens Net Criminal Property Damage Charges After Vandalizing Multiple Vehicles

The teens allegedly shot out the rear window of several vehicles with a BB gun, smashed the windshield of a car when they danced on the hood, and spray-painted and keyed a van.

Three teens were arrested early this morning after police said they allegedly damaged several vehicles in the village.

Luis  A. Rivera, 18, 116 Sunset Lane, and Victor Perez, 17, 722 Feather Sound Drive, were arrested at 3:27 a.m. in the Beaconridge Club House parking lot, police said. A third suspect, Zach Casavant, 19, 308 Malibu Drive, was located and arrested at 5:55 a.m., police said.

The trio face felony criminal property damage charges, police said.

Bolingbrook officers responded to the Beaconridge Club House parking lot for a report of three people trying to break into a car. Upon arrival, officers were told one of the alleged offenders was in the field by the Park District. Police said they were then able to gather additional information on the others involved. Officers saw a person matching the description in the parking lot of the club house. The person had a BB gun which was used to damage vehicles in the area.

Police said a preliminary investigation determined the trio shot out the rear window of several vehicles, smashed the windshield of a car when they danced on the hood, and spray-painted and keyed a van.

After interviewing Perez and Rivera, police were able to gain additional information about Casavant and return to the Beaconridge Club House to make a third arrest.

The three were processed for felony criminal damage to property and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Center.
